RunwayKit is a unique app that enables aspiring as well as professional ffashion entrepreneurs to kickstart their business by providing easy-to-use and accessible design and production tools. I helped design and animate an explainer video for their business, following Runway Kit’s brand language, colours and identity, which turned out to be one of the most fun projects I've done in motion design!
APPROACH
Being a fashion forward brand, it was important to have slick motion with trendy and stylish characters to relate to the user base. Along with this I had to adhere to the brand guidelines and colour palette while designing the frames for the video.
CHARACTER DESIGN EXPLORATIONS
INITIAL STYLEFRAMES
While these styleframes were visually appealing and aligned with the brand guidelines, I realized they might overwhelm the viewer over the course of the video. In the end, we opted for a lighter background paired with vibrant graphic elements and characters to keep the look fresh and engaging.
